The Biden Administration is Delivering for Ohio

For decades, the U.S. exported jobs and imported products, while other countries surpassed us in critical sectors like infrastructure, clean energy, semiconductors, and biotechnology. Thanks to President Biden’s Investing in America Agenda – including historic legislation signed into law such as the American Rescue Plan, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, CHIPS and Science Act, and Inflation Reduction Act – that is changing. Since the President took office in 2021, companies have committed over $435 billion in private sector investments across the country, including $30 billion here in Ohio.

These investments are creating good-paying jobs, including union jobs that will boost U.S. competitiveness, rebuild infrastructure, strengthen supply chains, and help build a clean energy economy.

"President Biden is delivering on his campaign promises to rebuild our infrastructure and make America the manufacturing powerhouse we once were," said Ohio AFL-CIO President Tim Burga. "Not only is the Biden Administration using the resources and weight of the Federal Government to create jobs, President Biden is ensuring the private sector is also investing in the American worker."

Thanks to the President’s Investing in America agenda and the public/private sector alignment, Ohio is now a more attractive place for companies around the world to invest in and expand, helping drive U.S. competitiveness.
