Steelworkers to Rally in Support of Hillary Clinton in Lorain

Workers to call out Trump for his use of Chinese steel in construction projects

(Lorain, OH) –  On Friday October 28th, United Steelworkers Local 1104 will hold a rally in support of Hillary Clinton in Lorain.  Members of the local union, which has been hit by the recent closure of area steel mills, will come together to reiterate their support for Clinton and renounce the outsourcing and anti-worker practices of Donald Trump.

Amid revelations about Trump’s use of Chinese steel in his constructions projects, members of USW Local 1104 will call out the candidate for his hypocrisy and his complicity in the economic struggles that have resulted from the practice.  “We have seen firsthand what happens when American workers are not given the highest priority,” said Pat Gallagher of United Steelworkers District 1.  “Donald Trump has always put himself first and as president we could expect much more of the same,” he said.  “Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, has a plan to invest in American infrastructure and American manufacturing, the biggest such investment since World War II,” Gallagher said.
